Internet = World = Everyone?

Arrrrrrrgh!
It's so sad to see that people seem to mistake the word "online users" for "windows users". Content on the web should be as available to everyone as possible - but what's happening?
Some stupid idiots produce things like that:
http://www.flatcast.com/
That's a web-radio engine which requires a browser plugin to listen to - which is only available for Windows. WHY is someone wasting time of his life coding crap like that??
There ARE streaming solutions out there that work on every OS. I mean: Those "flatcast" people obviously did -some- of their homework since they're broadcasting using OGG/Vorbis, but they didn't think things to the end, did they??
Poor end users...
