xmms: faulty plugin preventing it from starting

Post by ^rooker »

[PROBLEM]
After enabling the iTouch plugin for XMMS and configuring it, XMMS kept closing itself automatically - immediately!

[SOLUTION]
Manually disable the plugin that causes the problem:

Edit ~/.xmms/config and search a line containing the following text:
enabled_gplugins=
...and remove all plugins from the list that seem problematic.
Jumping out of an airplane is not a basic instinct. Neither is breathing underwater. But put the two together and you're traveling through space!
