I'll use this thread to collect information about testing RAM. I'm doing this, because I'm currently running extensive hardware tests on a few Supermicro server hardware.
I found it very interesting to read David Wren's article about the difficulty testing ECC using Memtest86 v5, due to vendor-specific implementations and lack of documentation - including docs about UEFI being non-existent or non-available (publicly).
