Samba: Error connecting to socket. Return code -113

[PROBLEM]
I tried to mount a Windows7 client PC over CIFS, using Samba on a Debian 6 (Squeeze) server.
It worked in the past, but since we've changed the hostname of the Windows client I get the following error when I try to mount it:
Unable to find suitable address.
The failed operation leaves the following trace in dmesg output:
CIFS VFS: Error connecting to socket. Aborting operation
CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -113
No good :(
