unetbootin install: GRUB error check device.map

Unfortable-looking error message when install unetbootin package (on Xubuntu 14.04):
grub-probe: error: cannot find a GRUB drive for /dev/sda1. Check your device.map.
(sda is an external USB HDD btw. Not my system.)
