iFolder Server Data in wrong Dir

Post by ^rooker »

[PROBLEM]
Novell's iFolder places the Synchronisation Information in the server installation directory - and this cannot be changed from within the Administratration frontend.

[SOLUTION]
In the registry, there's a key named:
"[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\W3SVC\iFolderServer]"

which contains some settings of the current iFolder Server installation. One of them is "iFolderServerRoot" - which is where the Server keeps its "User Data" (as it's called in the iFolder Administration).

- Shutdown IIS.
- Tell iFolder to stop synchronizing (under 'System Monitoring').
- Change the foldername in the registry.
- Restart the iFolder server machine.
