Deterministic Network Enhancer

Post by ^rooker »

[PROBLEM]
1) Windows tries to install something called "Deterministic Network Enhancer Miniport"
2) After accepting the non-Micro$oft certified driver, the network connection says it's up (according to the 'connected'-icons in the systray), but disappeared from the 'ipconfig' listing completely
3) Trying to deinstall this obscure driver from the hardware-management says something like "unable to do this, because the system might need it for startup"

[SOLUTION]
go to the network connection's properties tab and you should see this alien-driver in the assigned list. Uninstall it from there and it will disappear from the controlpanel, too.

Can you elaborate? This thing is not letting my Cisco PNV work correctly.

Thanks,

need more info

In order to help you, I'd need a little bit more info about what you need - or what exactly your problem is.

(and to be honest: I don't know what a "PNV" is...)
