Out of nowhere, suddenly an audio recording call is running on my system:
root 994 78.5 0.0 64892 3256 ? RL 17:24 70:31 arecord -c 1 -f S16_LE -r 8000 -t raw
I've just started my computer - and I definitely didn't start that process!
Where did it come from?

UPDATE:
I think it was related to the package "randomsound" I've installed before rebooting - see
bug #803222 on launchpadJumping out of an airplane is not a basic instinct. Neither is breathing underwater. But put the two together and you're traveling through space!
