VirtualDub

Post by ^rooker »

[PROBLEM]
In some constellations it might happen that VirtualDub suddenly displays a single-colored green screen instead of the actual video. However, if you start playback of the video it's suddenly ok - and vanished and replaced by soilent green again when stopped.
hmpf?

[SOLUTION]
This is related to video overlay settings, and in my case required disabling "Use DirectX overlay surfaces" option in "Options > Preferences > Display".
Actually, using the overlay surfaces *should* work and I'm not really sure why (in some cases) it doesn't...
Jumping out of an airplane is not a basic instinct. Neither is breathing underwater. But put the two together and you're traveling through space!
